Slides from faculty town hall and updates on mediation

Dear faculty allies,

We were heartened by the strong attendance at the faculty town hall on Friday. Slides are available here. We’ve also added new info to the Q&A section based on our conversation on Friday. Please share.

Thanks in part to your support, yesterday’s mediation session was one of our most productive to date. SWC is drafting a counter proposal that we will share with the University on Wednesday, and we are hopeful we will reach a tentative agreement by the end of the week.

Upcoming faculty events:

• Two joint mediation sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, December 22, at 10am and Thursday, December 23, at 1pm. You are welcome at both; links to be announced. 

• We are hosting a virtual faculty town hall on Wednesday, December 22 at 5pm, where we will review our contract proposal and answer questions. Join here.

We hope the anticipated agreement will be welcome news after a long and challenging impasse. Therefore, we urge you to continue to pressure the administration to agree to a fair contract as we enter these final, critical moments. Only with your help can we bring this protracted strike to a successful conclusion.
