About the Health Fund

Annual health funds (also called “support funds”) were won in our contract with Columbia and give student workers and their dependents’ access to reimbursements for medical expenses, including copays, dental/vision premiums, therapy, and more.

As determined by our contract, we have the following funds available between August 2022 and August 2025:

Student Employee Support Fund

Effective August 15, 2022, the Student Employee Support Fund will be $350,000 

Effective August 15, 2023, the Student Employee Support Fund will be $375,000 

Effective August 15, 2024, the Student Employee Support Fund will be $400,000

Student Employee Dependent Support Fund

Effective August 15, 2022, the Student Employee Dependent Support Fund will be $175,000

Effective August 15, 2023, the Student Employee Dependent Support Fund will be $200,000

Effective August 15, 2024, the Student Employee Dependent Support Fund will be $225,000

Applying to the Funds!

To ensure that students receive reimbursements for medical expenses more than once per academic year, we have divided the health fund applications into two “rounds.” The ideal timeline of each round is explained in the attached graphic, but this may be adjusted slightly based on the volume of applications we receive and how many student workers are available to help process them.
